What width do you most often use? I am choosing between 4” shiplap or 6” nickel gap T&G in a transitional home….

Thanks so much!

For a transitional home the 6” would probably work best and I also love both. Can’t go wrong

What are the standard width options for nickel gap?

Do you ever use custom widths or is that just not a good way to use up budget?

Is it weird to put T&G in just one room of your home and no where else?

I personally don’t think it’s weird. I have T&G in my kitchen, laundry, and one bathroom and I love it. All of these rooms are separated from the other rooms with drywall by a cased opening- I think that’s key.

Hi there! Would you have a T&G type recommendation for kitchen backsplash? Or is tile the way to go? Thank you :)

We love T&G for a backsplash - we did it in our Sleepy Hollow project (https://www.wdesigncollective.com/projectsleepyhollow) and we did it in our Spring Road project that we are releasing next month. For areas around the sink - you'll want to incorporate the countertop material as a secondary backsplash to prevent any water damage to the T&G - the images on our portfolio will better explain what I mean.
