It’s incredibly giving of you to offer up your time for helping all us wanna-be designers ;) and I love any help I can get with your articles. Most high end designers do not want to share most details about how they make their gorgeous spaces so it is refreshing to see you want to help by giving practical and useful advice. I recently read the perfectionism paralysis article and feel that it is unfortunately me right now; I aspire to have a lived in cozy feel home like the ones you create. Winning this consultation would be exactly what my home needs. Also, I do appreciate the recommendations outside of design (like the veggie/food trays for in the fridge!). I’ve loved my subscription to the WDC Journal! The content has been fabulous - very informative but also incredibly beautiful. I’m passionate about design but work within another industry. This journal not only provides drool-worthy inspiration photos, but also has been an amazing way to educate myself on the design process required to create the finished products they are sharing. This is the only paid subscription I have kept, and I truly look forward to each new post!
I will be honest I am a long time follower and first time subscriber. So I have a lot to catch up on! However, W Design provides so much value even just through following along through Instagram stories. The information shared is so helpful for someone who adores design but may not have a designer budget (me.) I will never forget how head over heels I fell for #dutchfields. I’ve spent hours examining and studying every image shared from that project and have tried to infuse little bits of it in my own home. How appreciative I was when F&B Hague Blue was shared 🫶 More recently I’ve found myself as obsessed with the Oak Hill Drive Project. Thank you for the incredible inspiration you provide (and the recommendations have given me some real gems.) I follow along because your work makes my heart sing. 😊 Happy holidays!
Being on the other side of the pond, there aren’t as many designers doing European design as well! So when I found wdesign I knew following would answer a lot of design conundrums. And I was right. Also Marianne has personally replied on important issues I have brought up (for example diversity in the industry) and hasn’t shied away from direct questions as some do. I love the down-to-earth personal touches mixed with the high-end visuals. It’s how I hope my designs turn out and how I would like to think all design can be if enough care is applied. Fingers crossed!

I was drawn to Marianne’s timeless style and desire to honor the historical architectural elements in a home. We moved to the Salt Lake area from Texas a year ago and have been remodeling our home since then. I have been referencing Marianne’s advice all along the way and it has been invaluable. The platform has been easy to use, access and understand. I especially appreciate being able to comment and ask questions! Design services can be daunting. First, it’s hard to find a designer whose taste jives with yours and second, they can be so expensive. This forum is not only cost effective, but touches on many areas of home design and decorating. There is something for everyone!

I have learned so much from reading the articles here. I have worked with designers who focus on aesthetic (and see it on Instagram) at the expense of longevity, function, or history of the design element. I find the depth of knowledge, honesty and dedication to functionality that is also beautiful to be refreshing. I have not seen it elsewhere!
I found you guys on Instagram and was drawn to Marianne’s honesty and laidback vibe. I did a consult with her last year and got a lot out of it, so I joined.
I reference the journal all the time! Your style aligns closely with mine and as we slowly redo our old home (Ethel, we love her) I love to get your insights and lessons learned. Whether it is a paint color or style perspective, it is so helpful!

While so many designers and firms urge a particular style or aesthetic (and then gatekeep...), WDC is incredibly encouraging in helping to make your space an expression of you. It’s, bar none, why I subscribe to being here and look to this journal for advice time and again! I’ve been in the thrashes of designing my first home this past year (so stressful working with your own space!!), and my go-to source has been WDC. I am often empowered from my engagement with all of WDC’s content, and while we’re not yet finished our home, the result thus far has been timeless, curated and authentic, and a space that my partner and I truly love. Keep the goods coming girls!! You are all amazing!
