Yellow Inspiration Roundup
our favorite yellow interiors, paint colors, accessories, and more
As soon as we decided to do this “yellow roundup” post we’ve been seeing so many good inspiration images (and are sharing them all here). One of the reasons that we love yellow is because it’s a good way of using color without it feeling too bright. We typically lean towards less saturated yellows like the ones that you see below and love the warmth that they bring to a space. While we don’t typically use yellow paint on the walls, we love how it looks on cabinetry and millwork. Below we’re sharing some of our favorite yellow designs and paint colors, plus a yellow product roundup featuring everything from clothes to pillows and candlesticks.

products and sources
#1 Beeswax Candle Tapers - I love beeswax candles, they create a pretty wax “drip” effect when burned and I personally like the subtle honey scent they have. Also, since they’re a natural wax, it doesn’t emit as many harmful chemicals when burned.
#2 Nickey Kehoe Scallop Sconce - This is one of my favorite sconces, we used this exact color in our Spring Creek project. It’s the perfect amount of playful and timeless.
#3 Zara Striped Sheets - I haven’t felt these sheets in person, so I can’t speak to the quality but honestly, all the Zara Home items we’ve sourced for clients have exceeded my expectations. I thought this pin stripe was such a cute way to add some pattern into your bedroom.
#4 Terrain Bell Taper Holder - You can never have enough candle holders! They are a styling staple for us and I love the tulip-like shape of this one.
#5 Le Bonne Shop Socks - If you haven’t tried Le Bonne socks, this is your sign (also would be a great gift for the holidays). They are so soft and really great quality.
#6 Jasper Indian Flower Wallpaper - You may recognize this pattern if you’ve been following us for a bit. We have used it over and over. It comes in a handful of beautiful colors as well as a fabric or wall covering.
#7 Colored Glass Vase - Another styling staple! We use this vase over and over - it’s the prefect rounded shape I always look for when looking for accessories.
#8 Everlane Boxy Polo Sweater - Everlane has the best sweaters for the price point. This polo style is really cute and a bit more interesting than a classic crew neck. I love the soft butter color too - I feel like it could read as a neutral if that’s more your thing.
#9 Plaid Silk Pillow - I love this cheery yellow pillow and you can never go wrong with a plaid!
#10 Onitsuka Tiger Sneakers - A few girls in our office have these and I think the pop of yellow is so fun and unexpected.
#11 Yellow Glazed Vase - Someone needs to get this vintage vase (hurry it’s one-of-a-kind!) I think the shape and color is perfect.
#12 Rose Tarlow Fabric - This is the sweetest fabric. We used it for a seat cushion in our Oak Hill Drive library and it was even better in person.
#13 Houses: Atelier AM Coffee Table Book - This book is beautiful inside and out!
#14 Zig Zag Stripe Pillow - For anyone who is into the cottage-core trend this pillow is so fun. I love the girly ruffle paired with the more modern zig zag pattern and color.
#15 Preserved Kangaroo Paw Branches - I love using these dried branches to add some life into a room. They look so cute with the round bud vase we linked above!
#16 Crown Affair Clips - If you haven’t tried anything from Crown Affair you’re missing out. It’s such a beautiful hair care brand. Their clips are very well made and this color is 10/10.
Thanks so much for reading! Let us know if you liked this post and if you want us to do more roundups like this in the future. What color should we do next??
