Mastering Finish Work: The Art of Moulding in Interior Design
join us as Marianne Brown and Ryan Mulkeen of Kuiken Brothers demystify the process of finish work
We’re excited to launch the first of many in-person courses at our new event venue: Mastering Finish Work: The Art of Moulding in Interior Design on Thursday, December 5th, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am MST.
Join us with Marianne Brown and Ryan Mulkeen of Kuiken Brothers as they demystify the art of finish work. While this course is tailored for interior designers, it offers valuable guidance for homeowners embarking on personal projects, as well as for architects and builders.
(A recording of the course will be available for anyone who can’t make it in person)
Our goal in hosting this class is to help designers (and homeowners) address the various questions that come from builders and contractors about the specifics of finish work, such as: What is the material? Where should it be applied? What size is needed for each trim piece? How should it end in an open space? What is the profile?
Essentially, if you have ever been asked to select a baseboard, design a fireplace mantel, choose the size and layout of beams in a house, or decide between v-groove and straight tongue-and-groove and weren't sure how to answer, this class is for you. You will leave empowered to respond to any finish work question with confidence.
Topics we will cover include:
Different types of moulding options available
Defining the style of a home and integrating that style with moulding choices
Best practices for specific moulding applications
Basics of installing mouldings

Hi Maryanne,
Will the course be available to purchase for those of us that live out of state? Thank you!
