Whether you’re new here or have been a subscriber for a while, thank you so much for the support. We’re so grateful for the community that we have here on Substack and are continually looking for ways to make our platform more helpful and have a few new and exciting updates.
Live Q&A—Friday, June 27th @ 10 MST
We’re hosting our very first live Q&A later this month, and everyone’s invited—whether you’re a free or paid subscriber. We’ve seen some of our favorite writers on Substack doing this and thought it would be a fun way to connect with you all in real time.
Marianne will be answering questions live, and since it’s our first time doing this, we’re keeping it more casual. Think of it as a fun “get to know us” hangout. Marianne will chat about exciting new projects in the works, some sneak peeks of our newest product collections, favorite trends, go-to paint colors, and answer any general design questions you’ve got (nothing too project-specific this time around).
W Design Guides
Another exciting thing we’re introducing to the journal are our Design Guides — a deeper, more focused series where we take on one topic at a time and break it down in a way that will be incredibly helpful for anyone remodeling, planning a project, or simply trying to make confident design decisions.
Our first series of Design Guides will be released as a bundle on Tuesday, July 1st, exclusively available to Founding Members (more on that below). These will cover three commonly asked-about elements of a renovation: Paint, Cabinetry, and Countertops. These guides are built to be straightforward and actionable: real-world advice and personal recommendations you can actually use to help you feel more confident and less overwhelmed during your project.
One of the best parts? Each guide pulls together everything we’ve ever shared on a topic into one convenient place (plus a whole lot of new information and recommendations) No more digging through old posts or trying to piece it all together.
Founding Member Perks—$ 150/year
Our Founding Member tier is a premium subscription level designed for those who want a deeper, more detailed experience with our journal. As a Founding Member, you’ll gain exclusive access to new features, including the guide bundle we mentioned above and a step-by-step video resource where Marianne shares her tailored process for developing the foundational concept of a design project.
Starting this month, our monthly “Ask Me Anything” sessions will also move to the Founding Member tier. These Q&As take time to answer thoughtfully (Marianne reads and replies to each one personally) and this shift helps us continue offering that level of attention. You’ll still be able to post questions in the community chat, and we (or other members) will do our best to respond whenever we can. But the more in-depth, personalized answers will now be exclusive to this tier.
If the journal has been helpful to you, becoming a Founding Member is a great way to support the work behind it - and gain extra tools and insights for your own projects along the way.
