Today we're sharing a checklist of some of the questions we ask our clients in order to plan for their kitchen storage.

Hidden Storage

• Do you have a lot of kitchen goods that need to be hidden?

• Do you want open shelving?

Countertop Space

• How much countertop space do you need?

• If you can't have plenty of countertop space and plenty of storage, what would you prefer?

Pantry

• Are you going to incorporate a butler's pantry and if so how do you envision using this space?

• Do you see yourself using your pantry as more of a prep-area for baking/making school lunches, snack prep, etc? Or more of a place to serve from when having guests over?

Specialty Storage

• Do you have any specialty items we need to make storage for?

• China collection?

• Large appliances?

• Vase collection? Etc?

• Do you want electrical outlets here?

• Charging stations?

House Supplies

• Do you want to store cleaning supplies in your kitchen?

• Do you need space here to store things like batteries, paper towels, etc.?

Food Storage

• How much dry food storage do you need?

• How do you like to use your cooking spices & oils? Do you need them immediately near the range?

• What heights do you want your food stored at? How accessible should it be?
