Today we’re sharing some before and after photos from our recent Highland Hills Kitchen Remodel located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our overall goal with this project was to update our client’s kitchen with enduring materials to complement the home’s colonial architecture and better reflect the family’s character and lifestyle.

Designers: Sara Ronna and Marianne Brown | Builder: Timberline Construction Co. | Cabinetry: Ryan Reeder Cabinets

The previous kitchen was already beautiful but our client was looking for more depth and durability. She really wanted to incorporate more stain grade cabinetry after living with painted cabinets that inevitably chipped over time and we opted for a soapstone island that could withstand any messes.

The wood stained cabinetry and dark green island were a bit of a design risk since it’s such a bold look and is very different than the light, bright kitchen our client had before. However, we think it turned out beautifully and brings so much character and charm to the space.

Sharing all of the kitchen specs and sources below - let us know if you have any other questions about this project that we can answer!
