A while back we posted about our favorite light fixtures for the main level of a house (the entryway, kitchen, family room, and dining room) and you guys loved that post. We wanted to share something similar that would be another helpful resource, so we decided to round up a bunch of our favorite light fixtures for bedrooms.
One of our top lighting tips is to create layers—this means having not only some form of overhead lighting but also lamps, sconces, etc. While having recessed lighting in a bedroom isn’t a bad idea, it’s also not totally necessary. Most of the time you won’t be needing more light than you can get from a flush mount or chandelier (and we almost always prefer a soft and moody bedroom anyways—which is why we love lamps, sconces, and candles). Keep reading to see some of our favorites.

Thanks so much for reading! If you’re looking for more help with lighting you can always schedule a call with Marianne on The Expert or submit a question in our next “Ask Me Anything” chat which will be happening on December 20th.
Love these. Would also love to see some solutions for fans. We don’t like the look of a ceiling fan but we love the airflow/noise at night. Would you do a chandelier and then a chic floor or desk fan? Or is there a unicorn fandelier out there that actually looks amazing
I love these kind of posts, they’re so helpful!
