One of the many frustrations that come from remodeling, building or updating your home is hiring subcontractors that aren’t honest. Today we’re sharing contractor, Andrew Menlove’s (Timberline Construction) red flags to watch for when getting bids and hiring out subcontractors.



Red Flags

  1. Lack of references and/or reviews

  2. Requesting large sums of money upfront

  3. Lack of documentation or hesitancy to provide documents

  4. Refuses to give a timeframe

  5. Provides bids that aren't detailed
